Dr. Morasch is compassionate, intelligent, and has common sense, which is a rare combination today. I always feel listened to and respected, which I truly appreciate in a doctor. He is an excellent physician.

I’m an 11th-generation American, part Volga German, with deep local roots. My ancestors were settlers on the Oregon Trail in Starkey, Oregon, and many other family members settled in the Palouse region, where they were engaged in agriculture.

I was born in California to a mother who was a mathematician and a father who served as a service unit director for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Public Health Service.

I grew up in small towns and rural areas of Montana and Idaho, where I developed a love for ranching, camping, fishing, and bicycling. My parents instilled in my sister and me the values of hard work and integrity. We attended numerous Christian churches throughout our upbringing, and I believe in and support traditional American values.

In high school, I played football and later attended the University of Idaho, where I studied political science. I went on to medical school at the University of Kansas, where I developed an interest in primary care. I appreciated its focus on building real relationships with patients and the possibility of working independently in a smaller community.

I’ve worked as a physician in Walla Walla on and off for 20 years and have built many meaningful friendships here that I deeply value. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, parents, son, dogs, cat, and close friends. I also enjoy flying planes, working on cars, riding mountain bikes, building mountain bike trails, camping, and fishing.
