Dr. Morasch is compassionate, intelligent, and has common sense, which is a rare combination today. I always feel listened to and respected, which I truly appreciate in a doctor. He is an excellent physician.

Physicians
I’m an 11th generation American, part Volga German, who has deep local roots. My ancestors were Settler’s on the Oregon trail in Starkey, Oregon, along with many other family members who settled in the Palouse region and were engaged in agriculture. As for myself I was born in California to a mother, who was a mathematician and a father who was a service unit director for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Public Health Service.
I grew up in small towns and rural areas of Montana and Idaho, where I learned to enjoy ranching, camping, and fishing and bicycling. My parents instilled the values of hard work and integrity in my sister and me. We both attended numerous Christian churches while growing up. I believe in and support traditional American values.
I played football in high school. I did most of my college courses at University of Idaho where I studied political science. I went to medical school at the University of Kansas where I took an interest in primary care. It offered real relationships with patients with the possibility of working independently in a smaller community.
I have worked in Walla Walla as a physician on and off for 20 years. I have made many good friends in town who I value greatly. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife, my parents, my son, my dogs and cat and close friends. I also enjoy flying planes, working on cars, riding mountain bikes, and building mountain bike trail, camping, and fishing.

Board Certified Primary Care Physician
It was quite a journey for me before deciding to settle in Walla Walla. Before completing my residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee, I was trained and practiced as a General Surgeon in Ukraine. Later on, I also completed a Pediatric Surgical Oncology Fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Additionally,
I have several years of medical research experience in fields on oncology, stem cell and nanotechnology. Many of you will find it quite entertaining reading my scientific manuscripts from the National Library of Science.
I’m sure this extensive and diverse training will be of benefit to my patients in many ways. In addition to practicing traditional Internal Medicine, I have special interests in adults with congenital conditions, medical management of surgical pathology and simply in any complicated cases that would require an “outside of the box” approach. I employ evidence-based medicine in my practice, which means I use information from well designed and conducted research. Using up to date treatments, tailored to your individual needs and preference is my goal.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my kids and doing all sorts of outdoor activities (fishing, hiking, skiing, mountain biking), to which the Walla Walla Valley is best suited. I look forward to meeting you in our traditional medical clinic. We decided to bring back the old days of patient centered medicine delivered by small private practice. That’s why we proudly named our enterprise the Heritage Clinic.
